I travel a lot on business and whenever I do I always try to see some of the local sights. I also travel for pleasure, which explains some of the more interesting/unusual places that I've been too.

Acoma, New Mexico USA -- This is the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in North America
Agra, India -- home of the Taj Mahal, need I say more?
Albuqurque New Mexico USA -- The petroglyph national park is incredible
Alghero, Sardinia, Italy -- Watch out for the Myrto
Alice Springs, Australia -- The landscape is incredible, the MacDonnell range in particular
Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA -- Billy Joel wrote a song about it, so I had to check it out
Amsterdam, Holland -- A city of extremes, the museums are great and the laws are... um... lax
Anchorage, Alaska -- great place to visit, at least in the summer
Andes Trail, Peru -- A nasty hike, but worth it because you see a lot of great Inca ruins
Ann Arbor, Michigan USA -- A great university town, just outside of Detroit
Antwerp, Belgium -- The photography museum is great
Atlanta, Georgia -- every second street seems to be named Peachtree for some reason
Augusta, Maine -- very nice down by the river, looks like a great place to raise a family
Austin, Texas -- really nifty caverns about 2 hours south, worth the drive
Bala, Ontario -- the Kee to Bala rules!
Baltimore, Maryland -- really interesting downtown, just don't get caught there at night
Bangalore, India -- the high-tech hub of India
Barrow, Alaska -- it's on the Arctic ocean and is the northernmost American town
Bath, England -- The Romans built a spa around a thermal spring, really worth seeing
Beijing, China -- Both the Forbidden City and the Great Wall were amazing to see
Belize City, Belize -- Went out of town on an eco-river tour and tour of some Mayan ruins
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA -- The closed down steel mill is sort of sad but interesting to see
Boston, Mass, USA -- A great city with an impressive history, definitely a good place for a vacation
Brisbane Australia -- Great waterfront with a lot of things to visit nearby
Brugges, Belgium -- A medieval town, the canal boat tour is great, a must see if you're in Belgium
Brussels, Belgium -- The EU capital, a nice place to stroll around for several days
Bryce Canyon, Southern Utah, USA -- I was stunned by the beauty of the park
Budapest, Hungary -- Castle Hill is incredible
Buffalo, New York, USA -- Well, it could have been worse
Butantan, a snake farm in Sao Paulo, Brasil -- jump in the pit, trust me...
Buenos Aires, Argentina -- gotta love the Tango
Cairo, Egypt -- the pyramids, museum, and The Citadel are definitely worth a visit
Calgary, Alberta -- home of the Calgary Stampede
Callais, France -- I took the Chunnel from London to Callais, and then the hovercraft back to Dover
Cambridge, Ontario, Canada -- commonly known as crazy-person country, there must be something in the water
Canterbury, England -- the church there is amazing, worth checking out
Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA -- if you can't have fun at NASA, ...
Cape Horn, Chile -- ok, so I went around it on a ship and didn't actually land there, but it was cool anyway
Cape of Good Hope, South Africa -- visited a colony of African Penguins and walked to the end of the Cape
Cape Town, South Africa -- a really nice city, the view from Table Mountain is incredible
Cedar Breaks Canyon, Southern Utah, USA -- Sort of like a mini-Bryce Canyon, incredibly beautiful
Charlotte, North Carolina -- very quiet, too quiet now that I think about it...
Chicago, Illinois, USA -- Great architecture
Chennai, India -- Visited the tomb of St. Thomas, one of the 12 apostles
Cheltenham, England -- Nice, sleepy little town
Christchurch, New Zealand -- The portal to Antarctica, not that I went through here when I did go...
Cleveland, Ohio, USA -- the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is definitely a must see
Clinton, New Jersey, USA -- nice little town to spend an afternoon in
Columbia, South Carolina -- so this is where all the mountain-grown coffee comes from...
Columbus, Ohio -- nice place, just don't rent a car from Budget at the airport -- don't ask
Copenhagen, Denmark
Cozumel, Mexico -- A fun place to party
Cusco, Peru -- A central point for visiting Inca ruins, a nice town all by itself
Dallas, Texas -- didn't run into any of the Ewing clan
Daytona, Florida, USA -- great beach
Dead Sea, Israel -- You really can float like a cork
Death Valley, California -- you could easily spend a couple of days here seeing the sights, just don't have a car breakdown during the summer otherwise you're in serious trouble
Delhi, India -- the Red Fort and Qutb Minar are must sees
Des Moines, Iowa -- I had a really BADD time there (inside joke!)
Detroit, Michigan USA -- Motor city!
Dover, England -- the white cliffs truly are beautiful
Dunedin, New Zealand -- There's a blue penguin and an albatross colony here
Echo Point, New South Wales, Australia -- saw the Three Sisters rock formation in the Blue Mountains
Edinburgh, Scotland -- had haggis there for the first time, and lived to tell about it!
Edmonton Alberta -- home of the West Edmonton Mall
El Paso, Texas -- Just shy of the Mexican border
Erlangen, Germany -- a great place to live
Frankfurt, Germany -- the "bull and bear" statue is in front of the stock exchange
Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada -- it's amazing how much high-tech stuff is going on here
Galapagos Islands, Ecuador -- Simply incredible landscapes and wildlife, a must see for everyone
Grand Canyon, Arizona -- Take a helicopter tour if you can, it's amazing
Grand Cayman Islands -- A good place to shop for jewelry
Guatamala City, Guatamala -- Guatamala has Mayan ruins and volcanoes, so there's a lot to see
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada -- one of the nicest cities I've ever been too
Helsinki, Finland -- Loved the way much of the forest was maintained
Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China -- Visited the grasslands... very grassy
Hyderabad, India -- there are great temples, tombs, and Golconda Fort
Iguassu Falls, Brasil -- Kicks Niagara Falls' butt!
Jacksonville, Florida -- There's manatees in the river
Jakarta, Indonesia -- Great place for cheap software
Jerusalem, Israel -- A holy city for three major religions, the history is incredible
Johannesburg, South Africa -- Soweto is a real wake up call
Juneau, Alaska -- take the helicopter tour out to the glaciers
Kansas City, Missouri & Kansas -- The airport ID is MCI yet the major employer in the city is Sprint, gotta like it
Kennebunkport, Maine -- A great place to stop for a lobster dinner
Ketchikan, Alaska -- if you're into totem poles this is a good place to go
Key West, Florida, USA -- Hemingway liked the place, but frankly I think that there's too many mosquitoes
Knysna, South Africa -- got engaged here on New Year's eve 2005
Kruger National Park, South Africa -- the wildlife is astounding, saw a herd of elephants only 10 minutes into the park
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- Going up the Petronas towers is definitely worthwhile
Kyoto, Japan -- There is a large number of temples and shrines which are simply incredible
Las Vegas, Nevada -- you need to go here at least once in your life, even if you don't gamble there's lots to do
Leeds Castle, England -- another of many places in England worth checking out
Lima Peru -- The catacombs at the San Francisco Cathedral are, ummmm...., different
London, England -- it's amazing how many tourist attractions there are in London, worth checking out
London, Ontario, Canada -- the last known whereabouts of Ross Wallace, Esquire
Los Angeles, California -- nifty place, questionable values
Luray, Virginia -- the caverns are worth checking out
Luverne, Minnesota -- just south of the Blue Mounds park which has a herd of Buffalo and some great landscape
Luxembourg, Luxembourg -- A very beautiful city, the old part of the city is definitely worth a visit
Luxor, Egypt -- this is where ancient Thebes was
Machu Picchu, Peru -- the lost Inca city at the end of the Andes trail, simply incredible
Madison, Wisconsin -- really nice place, reminds me of home
Melbourne Australia -- The Great Ocean Road is to the west
Meteor Crater, Arizona -- We took a pretty big hit here 50,000 years ago
Mexico City, Mexico -- an hour out of the city is the Teotihuacon ruins, definitely something to visit
Miami, Florida -- if it's good enough for Tony Montana....
Milford Sound, New Zealand -- Took a sight-seeing cruise, wish I could have gone hiking around
Milwaukee, Wisconsin -- The home of Laverne and Shirley and Happy Days
Montreal, Canada -- Check out the Old City when you're there
Monument Valley, Utah -- the view along the highway is great, the view within the Navajo park is spectacular
Moscow, Russia -- The Kremlin and Red Square were something to see, but it's still a dangerous place for tourists
Mumbai, India -- formerly Bombay, Elephanta is this incredible temple carved into a set of caves
Muir Woods, California -- gotta love those redwoods
Munich, Germany -- great beer, arguably better than what Canada has to offer
Nashville, Tennessee -- The home of the Grand Old Opry
New Orleans, Louisianna -- didn't get to see Mardi Gras yet, but life is long
New York City, USA -- and I didn't even get killed!
Niagara Falls, Canada -- The Canadian side is where all the good pictures are taken
Novosibirsk, Russia -- The capital of Siberia, the people are very friendly and welcoming
Oakhurst, California -- just south of Yosemite, so it's a great place to stay if you're visiting the park
Obersalzberg, Germany -- this town is at the base of The Eagle's Nest, which offers a spectacular view
Ochos Rios, Jamaica -- The home of Dunn's Falls, bring your swim trunks
Omaha, Nebraska -- It's gotta be cold there in the winter
Osaka, Japan -- Osaka castle is very interesting and there is a great museum that I need to visit next time I'm there
Oslo, Norway -- Very beautiful place, very friendly people, and a great place to visit
Ottawa, Canada -- the capital of Canada, great skating in the winter if you can stand the cold
Oulu, Finland -- Just shy of the Arctic Circle
Palm Springs, California -- great golfing, not that I like to golf....
Paris, France -- Great cafes, lousy waiters, what more do you want?
Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia -- Incredibly beautiful fishing village, remember to visit the lighthouse
Perth Australia -- Great waterfront, looks like a nice place to live
Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona -- this park is incredible, the colors in the petrified wood will astound you, and you can easily spend an entire day here
Phillip Island, Australia -- Home of a blue-eyed penguin colony
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania -- city of brotherly love
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA -- The terrain is impressive
Pompei, Italy -- They need to improve the building codes, the place is a complete ruins :-
Port Lockroy, Antarctica -- fun place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there
Poznan, Poland -- the city of art
Prince Edward Island -- home of Anne of Green Gables
Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic -- ask first before swimming, trust me
Quebec City, Quebec -- A little bit of Europe in Canada, The oldest city in North America
Queenstown, New Zealand -- If you're into outdoor or extreme sports, this is the place to go
Quito Ecuador -- The old portion of town is great, with several incredible churches
Raleigh, North Carolina, USA -- they should just rename it IBMville and get it over with
Regina, Saskatchewan
Reykjavik, Iceland -- the landscape is incredible, wish I had visited the Blue Lagoon spa immediately upon arrival
Riga, Latvia -- The capital of Latvia, the old city is really pretty to walk around
Rio de Janeiro, Brasil -- gotta love Copacabana beach
Roatan, Honduras -- The zip line canopy tour was a blast
Roma, Italy -- When in Roma....
Rothenburg, Germany -- incredibly pretty town on the Romantic Trail
Sao Paulo, Brasil -- 17 million people can't be wrong, and if they are who's going to tell them?
St. Augustine, Florida -- The oldest city in North America
St. John's, Newfoundland -- close to Cape Spear, the Easternmost point in North America
St. Louis, Missouri -- The Arch is one of those "must see" things in the US
Salt Lake City, Utah USA -- Really friendly people, definitely check out the Mormon Temple if you get there
San Diego, California -- great zoo, check it out
San Francisco, California -- go south on CA highway 1 for great scenery
San Jose, California -- must be a Canadian-founded town if it's called San Hose, eh?
Scottsdale, Arizona -- A town with the right name
Seattle, Washington -- a lot like Vancouver, the Space Needle is worth going up on clear day
Sigulda, Latvia -- This is on the edge of a national park, has several castles, and is definitely worth a visit
Singapore -- Nice, safe place to visit
Sitka, Alaska -- great place to go whale watching
Shanghai, China -- the architecture is amazing
Stanley, Falkland Islands -- cold, damp, and isolated -- but still incredibly interesting
Stavanger, Norway -- A seaside town, I wish I had more time to spend there. Oh well, guess I have to go back
Stockholm, Sweden -- Great place to spend the day walking around
Stonehenge, England -- somebody must have really had a lot of spare time on their hands
Swaziland -- one of the few kingdoms left in Africa, great countryside, poor leadership
Sydney, Australia -- I climbed the bridge and saw a performance at the Sydney Opera House among other things
Tallin, Estonia -- the capital of Estonia, the old city walls and the old city itself are nice to see
Tel Aviv, Israel -- Had a great view of the Mediterranean from my hotel
Tijuana, Mexico -- one weekend I was in all three NAFTA nations, what can I say?
Tokyo, Japan -- I really is worth it to wake up at 4:30 to visit the Tsukiji fish market
Toronto, Canada -- The self-proclaimed center of the universe
Trondheim, Norway -- The capital of Norway centuries ago, now a beautiful place to visit
Tyson's Corner, Virginia, USA -- don't even get me going on the road design there
Uluru Australia -- Ayers Rock to the rest of us
Ushuaia, Argentina -- the southern-most city in the world
Vaduz, Leichtenstein -- The capital of a very small country
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada -- great city, if you're thinking of emigrating to Canada this is a great option
Vasquez Rocks, California -- I can't even tell you how many Star Trek episodes were filmed there\
Victoria, B.C. Canada -- Check out the Shinto shrine at the Art Gallery, the only one outside of Japan
Villasimius, Sardegna, Italy -- great place to vacation if you like warm, sandy beaches
Vilnius, Lithuanio
Walnut Creek, California -- The view at the top of Mt. Diablo is great
Warwick, England -- Great place to put a castle. Oops, too late. ;-)
Washington, D.C. -- lots of great museums and monuments, incredibly high crime rate however
Wellington, New Zealand -- this is where The Lord of The Rings movies were filmed
West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada -- they have the world's fifth largest submarine fleet, no kidding
Yangtze River, China -- the three gorges dam is the largest in the world
Yosemite National Park, California -- definitely worth spending time here, El Capitan and Half-Dome are truly impressive
Zaanse Schans, The Netherlands -- Just north of Amsterdam, a good place to go to see windmills
Zion National Park, Southern Utah, USA -- the hiking here is phenomenal
Zurich, Switzerland -- very nice city, great scenery
